Ruth Wilgress is a registered psychotherapist, certified play therapist and expressive arts therapist specializing in working with children (as young as 3 years old), teens/youth and adults using integrative therapy approaches. Ruth is trained and has experience in the following therapy approaches such as: art therapy, music therapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, internal family systems, narrative therapy, DDT, and DBT, mindfulness, sand tray therapy, and theraplay (dyadic work with caregivers and children together) and Safe and Sound Protocol.

I have over 7 years experience working with children who reside in the foster care system, sexual assault centres, developmental services sector, trauma programs and the Canadian Mental Health Association.
I have worked with children and youth with the Metis Nation of Ontario, Boost, NIHB, Victim Services, Children's Aid Society, and Milestones Foster Care agency and private run agencies.
